Reason for Blogging

This is the first blog that I have ever used, therefore it will be a major learning experience for me. I am usually a pretty private person so I hope to use my blog to branch out and be able to communicate my thoughts to the world. With my blog I will express my thoughts and feelings on certain issues but mainly express my ideas for creativity and what I plan to do with my artistic ability. By displaying my artwork on my blog, I will be able to obtain feedback on my art along with praise for what I have been creating. Through this blog I will hopefully find other artists with similar ideas to my own along with people who have completely different ideas which will allow me to be much more open minded to what I can create.

The name of my blog is "A Journey of Self Discovery." I have chosen this name because I have always heard that most artists find out who they truly are by what they create. I have always been the type of person that likes to follow guidelines while adding my own creative spin on what I am trying to occomplish. Hopefully with this blog I will be able to purely just create art without anyone telling me what exactly needs to be done. By hearing feedback on my creations, I will hopefully build more confidence with my art and find my true niche in the art world. Although the idea of creating a blog has not always been in my mind, I feel like this will be a very good learning experience while also being a good tool to help me find out what kind of artist that I truly am.
